Something Beautiful Is Here

Cannery Pier Hotel & Spa, an iconic luxury hotel built on century-old pier pilings extending 600 feet into the Columbia River, is pleased to welcome guests back after completing the first phase of its holistic transformation. The refresh brings a new level of service with enhancements that include complete renovations to the hotel's guest rooms, a wholly reimagined fitness center, upgraded event spaces, a Hall of History museum, and local art and amenities throughout.

The hotel is so proud to be raising the bar in comfort and amenities by offering our guests world-class service and the best of Astoria's vibrant arts and culture. We are proud we've achieved the best of both worlds, incorporating new elements and further elevating the guest-favorite experiences Cannery Pier Hotel & Spa is known for.

Design Enfolds Local History, Culture
The multimillion-dollar upgrade captivates the imagination with historic maritime elements fused with modern-day amenities that exceed today's luxury standards. A vivid palette of blues, grays, and reds with rich wood, metal, and stone accent pieces harken back to Astoria's fishing roots while imbuing modern sophistication. Contemporary art by renowned Astoria artist Duncan Berry is showcased throughout the property, including many in his chosen medium of Gyotaku (fish rubbing) — a Japanese technique originating in the eighteenth century — and nature prints focused on regional botanicals.

Each of the hotel's 46 sumptuous guest rooms features stunning vistas, offering guests a front-row view of the fascinating life on a working river. Each room is well-appointed with thoughtful amenities, modern fixtures, rich textiles, the latest technology, hardwood flooring, a private balcony, a gas fireplace, a clawfoot or jetted tub overlooking the waterfront, a cozy Pendleton blanket, and binoculars to observe ship traffic — from bulk carriers to tankers.

We are thrilled to complete the first step of the renovation and welcome guests back to Astoria's Jewel on the River.
